DAINTY DOLL - MSN'S MAKEUP RANGE OF THE MONTH

"Finding the perfect foundation or concealer for fair skins isn't easy - and all too often, those of us with a porcelain complexion have ended up having to make-do with a shade that's darker than our natural tone. But not any more! Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts has just launched a brand new make-up range, Dainty Doll, aimed at fair-skinned women - in association with cute cosmetics company Jelly Pong Pong.

It all came about thanks to recent ITV2 series The Passions of Girls Aloud in which the girl band were given the chance to make their individual dreams come true. And while Cheryl learnt to street-dance and Sarah played polo, redhead Nicola decided it was high time she sorted out her make-up woes.

In her quest for the perfect foundation, the determined singer flew to Taiwan to work with her chosen chemists. After a lot of hard work, numerous tests and countless texture and formulation changes, Nicola left knowing she'd created her ideal make-up range for fair skins.

Light and creamy textures, along with Nicola's personally selected colour palette, provide a gorgeous array of looks for fairer skins. What's more, most of the products are multi-functional, as they also include base, contour and accent colours.

Pride of the pack is Nicola's collection of super-smooth skin soufflé foundations - magically formulated to be matte without being dry. Priced £12 each, they're available in three shades: white, ivory and porcelain. But for pure glamour, we also love the subtly shimmering Plumping Gloss, with chilli extract. Just £6 each, colours include ripe pink and nutmeg.

Needless to say, the Dainty Doll launch party earlier this year was a star-studded event, with plenty of fair-skinned celebrities, including Nicola's band-mates, snapping up the oh-so-cute gift bags.

If you fancy trying the range out for yourself, you can buy online at www.jellypongpong.com or visit the store in London's Covent Garden (0845 224 8945)."

She is indeed my lovely. She's planning on expanding it, and relaunching it in retail stores at the end of 2009/beginning of 2010.

There are also rumours of a Liverpool signing taking place for the relaunch.

Glad this really took off for her, she's been working on it for ages.
Pay off for hard work is well deserved.

I have pale skin but it's not quite as pale as Nicola's. I've always wanted some of her make-up products since I heard about its launch. When I last went to Covent Garden, I couldn't find the Jelly Pong Pong store (it was there in 200. Maybe it's closed down, but I'm not sure.

    UPDATE
I went to Covent Garden straight after my 'Writing For Children' class and when I looked in Short's Gardens, Jelly Pong Pong had been replaced by another big shop that probably sells sportswear. I was gutted and misled about that but I've just ordered the concealer and Eye Shadow/Base from ASOS.
