Just checking, that's an engagement ringa-ling we're talking about?

Kimberley Walsh is to wed her long-term love - once he's saved up to buy her a ring that won't be totally outshone by CHERYL COLE's.

I can reveal that struggling boyband singer JUSTIN SCOTT will propose on their summer holiday after seven years with the pop beauty.

What took so long?

The poor love doesn't want Kim's rock to look like something bought in Blackpool next to the huge £50,000 sparkler that Cheryl's hubby ASHLEY gave her.

Justin - once in now defunct band Triple 8 (no, I can bare ly remember them either) - told me: "I'm saving like mad. I don't want Kimberley to have a rubbish, chavvy ring. I don't want her to sit next to Cheryl and feel that hers isn't as good."

Justin, 26, spoke for the first time about his love for Kimberley, 27, as she and Cheryl toasted their Girls Aloud Brit award.

He said: "I would want her to have the best anyway but it is difficult when one of her best friends is Cheryl and her ring is so beautiful. But then I don't earn the sort of money that Ashley does."

The Chelsea defender, 28, is on £90,000 a week.

I politely informed Justin it is standard practice to spend three months' wages on a ring. He said: "It's all right for Ashley - he could buy a decent ring with a week's wages."

im so happy for them he seems so normal and nice and we all know she is lovely. and its true, the bling shouldnt matter. he shouldnt have to compare to someone like ashley who makes so much dough. he should be thinking that he will treat his wife better than ashley treats his wife.

I doubt Kimberley give a sh*t about how expensive the ring was. She doesn't seem like a blingbling girl

And ofcourse Justin can't afford the kind of ring Trashley did, but then again, he will probably treat her better than Trasley treated Cheryl

Sarah married me with a gummy ring, so I really don't think Justin should worry.

Awww! He seems so nice and it will be so nice for them to be engaged. I also doubt Kim would mind about the ring being as expensive as Cheryl's either.

When they do get married, she will look so damn stunning I'm sure.
