Who's seen it? I'm going in like an hour. Can't wait.

I'm a bit of a technology geek so all the effects fascinate me, haha. It's had amazing reviews too.

Only I seem to care but...

Avatar has grossed over $1bn in just 17 days!!! It is only the 5th film to pass $1bn at the box office and as a result is already the 4th highest grossing film ever!!! I find that truly amazing.

Titanic (also James Cameron) grossed $1.8bn to become the highest grossing movie ever and the most recent billion dollar blockbuster, The Dark Knight, took over 30 weeks and a re-release to get the box office results.

    WOW!!!!!!

Hasn't it now overtaken Titanic in the sales?

I wasn't that bothered about seein it, but we went a few weeks back as felt it was something we should maybe catch while still at the cinema, and i really enjoyed it. Probably not a film i will bother wanting to watch again though, as i don't think a DVD will be the same as at the cinema and so it won't be as good.

Personally i think its a better film than Titanic, so glad it is number 1 in the sales. I couldn't personally comment on it not winning best film at the Oscars as i have not seen all the films that were nominated to say if i think it was the right film that won. My brother thinks its right that HurtLocker won as he considered it the best film of last year.

I do however think that it was worthy of the awards it did get.
